Final sale means the purchase isn’t returnable for a change of mind — if you decide you’d rather have a different model, or you no longer need it, you’re keeping it. So the risk you’re taking on isn’t reliability. It’s fit.

The practical implication: refurbished suits a purchase you’re confident about. A second camera for a room you already know needs one, a replacement for a device you’ve used before, or a model you’ve researched properly. For a first camera, when you’re not yet sure what you need, new is the safer buy.
